When you are sick of everything, don't know what can be done with the people around you, that moment leads you to make you a narcissist or to make you realized about that. The process of loving yourself is just like this line from John Green's book. You realize about yourself by the facts and time, slowly. But then all at once, only an incident makes you the one.
I also do believe that you should be that narcissist. You know why? Because when you love yourself, you'll get confidence, and that will make others to believe in you. And at the end of the day, when you're annoyed, broken hearted, disrespected, distrusted, only one person that's gonna be with you for the life time is only you.
Just for a moment, be selfish. Think about yourself. When you'll do what you like to do, no one's gonna scold you or annoy you as if they were known by the fact. After a trice, they will remember you as a guy who is happy with himself. They're gonna like it, because in your loved job, your work will be perfect! Now, come back to the reality and think about all those big names, like - Dhirubhai Ambani, Narayana Murthy; not only businessmen, but politicians, actors - actresses, like - Modi, Nehru, Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Hemamalini, Priyanka Chopra; they all are on the same way. They are selfish and they became that selfish for own self. And now the whole world is praising them, because of their Nobel work. They're best in it.
In search of your own self you also give this world a great person, as you fulfill your dreams, your actuality. That satisfaction in being yourself is what everyone's gonna love. You know the reason behind that? Because when you're gonna be busy in being yourself, other narcissists will welcome you in your actual new world, and the fake world, that you just have left, made up of 'people', will see you as another celebrity!
Yes, you'll become the one, when 'people' wouldn't even be turning their diary's pages!

Being a narcissist...or being self centered.

Because as a 20year old boy i couldn't be self centered for my likes and dislikes...i have to focus on my career to get my earnings.
I think narcissism changes according to our age... As an adult now i have to start earning as my father is going to retire in two years. by that time i wouldn't have finished my studies. So think about the consequences of being self centered as i want go in research field, i want to learn web developing, i want to learn to repair cars, i want to have a girl friend. But I couldn't do these things at all. You have mentioned Shahrukh bhai in your blog.... i am huge fan of Shahrukh and i have watched his almost all the interview. In every interview he always says he is working for his family...so where is self centeredness...So i think there is another thing who makes a person so called "celebrity" and it's feeling great about your self that you are the best.
And when you try to being self centered you will only get hatred from public and family as Amit jee got when he is in so called affair with Rekha jee despite of being married.
Here, I have explained Narcissism as being in love with yourself and avoiding those who don't take you as you really are (And just because of them, you lose yourself).
DeleteFamily and friends are all that we've got after all. In SRK's case, what you're saying is right but he did what he liked. He did acting for himself, and earned for his family. Because fulfilling the wish he had was the only thing he did for his family as financial support.
Take Narcissism as loving yourself, being natural, being what you actually are, and not as being pride. Please read this article in that sense. I've not talked about being self centered.
